Do not do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same. — George Bernard Shaw

Change leaders are not just representative of the general population. The things we care about and get excited about aren’t the same as others living in different circumstances.

Use Stakeholder Analysis to help you understand your constituents. Don’t make assumptions about what they want or need to hear or how they want to interact with you. Just because you would like an extensive report doesn’t mean they need that right now. Live with your constituents, spend time looking through their lens. Your interactions will be much smoother.

The result: A higher degree of success for your change implementations.
